The idea of sharing a roadmap is something I've thought a lot about, and I think it makes sense to do a little closer to launch. To answer 1/2 together, I'm one of only two people on the Velan marketing team, and I'm a huge believer in transparency and building trust with a community. I don't think there is anything that plays quite like Knockout City, and everyone will be able to try it for free before committing to buying the game. We also have a number of ways, including a free trial for everyone, to provide an easy way in for you and your friends to play. Our game is all about skill and style - core to its creative heart, and no lootboxes, we don’t like that. But with that, we can provide a huge amount of content at launch, and free seasons after that. We thought that if we could keep an upfront price low, at $20, it's like buying two season passes. So we needed a business model to make it sustainable first at a smaller scale. We believe Knockout City has the potential to be huge, but could take time to build up. There are also success stories for reasonably priced games and we wanted to do something different. It's true, there are a number of F2P options out there, but that doesn’t guarantee that your game will be a success. We'll start answering questions around 3pm ET (12pm PT), and we'll stick around for a few hours, so feel free to start asking now!Įdit: Thanks for all of your questions!
